12 MONTH AND ONE DAY SENTENCE FOR FORMER LEADER OF DrinkOrDie AND Razor 1911
United States v. S.P., United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia at Alexandria
.

Mr. S.P. was charged with Conspiracy to Violate Copyright Laws as part of Operation Buccaneer, an international law enforcement operation in twenty-six countries targeting 62 people suspected of software piracy.  According to the government, Mr. S.P. was the leader of Razor 1911 and DrinkOrDie, the world’s oldest warez and demo groups.  Despite his alleged leadership role in Razor 1911 and DrinkOrDie, and decade long involvement in the warez scene, Mr. Amolsch successfully argued for a sentence of 12 months and one day in prison, far less than the 50 month sentence received by the group’s other leader, Sean Michael Breen.
